Medical Biller Coder

The Medical Billing Specialist is responsible for timely submissions of accurate insurance claims to all assigned third-party payers with subsequent timely follow-up and collection.
Post medical charges, payments, and journal entries to accounts in a timely and accurate manner
Process insurance claim denials, file appeals, and contact insurance companies.
Prepare and submit monthly billings to appropriate third party payor sources.
Research, resolve, resubmit and/or appeal all suspended or denied claims in a timely manner.
Review and audit aging A/R reports as necessary.
Meeting daily, monthly and quarterly billing metrics.
Follow up with patients and third-party payers for payments.
Verify correct insurance filing information
Verify receipt of all patient registration data from client, and notifying client of potential coding problems.
Qualifications:
Minimum 2
years of experience in healthcare billing and collections.
Strong knowledge and experience with Accounts Receivables practices.
Solid understanding of the healthcare industry and reimbursement process.
Ability to comprehend various insurance documentation, analyze and reconcile accounts and follow detailed procedures in an organized and efficient manner.
CPC Certified or other CPT Certification.
Ability to multi task, quickly adapt to new priorities and meet tight deadlines.
Superior communication, problem-solving and follow-up skills
Strong computer skills (Word, Excel, billing software)
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
