About me:
My name is Paige Davis and I am an elementary school special education teacher and a private tutor. I have been teaching elementary school and been a private tutor for four years. I specialize in elementary school phonics, reading, and math. I know how school has been a challenge in the past few years due to the pandemic. I have been working hard since 2020 to close the learning gap that a lot of kids have struggled with.
My tutoring services:
When I was a young student, I struggled in school. I know exactly how it feels like to feel like every day is a challenge. It can be frustrating and discouraging. I meet all my students "where they're at". A part of my philosophy includes the belief that students cannot make meaningful progress unless instruction starts where the students' prior knowledge falls. This method prevents the student from becoming frustrated and it encourages the student to take small steps towards an attainable goal. This method has allowed me to get multiple students back up to grade level within a few months.

I offer online tutoring services for $55/50 minutes.
Why Online?
With my tutoring services I prefer to keep my sessions online for multiple reasons. Online instruction can be just as productive and significant as in person tutoring. I have been tutoring online for years now. Therefore, I have access to a lot of online manipulatives and tools that can help keep the sessions engaging and interactive. I also believe online tutoring allows more time on my schedule to help as many students as I can.
